Es Caló de Sant Agustí

On the eastern coast of Formentera, at the feet of the cliffs of La Mola, discover one of our favorite places in the world, Es Caló de Sant Agustí. A small fishing village surrounded by small coves of fine white sand that is well worth a visit. A magical place with views of the cliffs of La Mola and the coastline of the neighboring island of Ibiza. Characteristics of this place are its boathouses, declared of cultural interest in 2002 and also in charge of protecting the small fishing boats (llaüts) from the waves. A must for your trip to Formentera and an amazing place for a good swim in intense turquoise waters, a true window to paradise.

How to get there

Take the main road to Pilar de la Mola. Leave behind you the villages of Sant Francesc and Sant Ferran and about 3.5 miles away you’ll get to Es Caló. By boat, 38º 40′ 31,022” N 01º 31′ 21,552” E, anchor on its sandy bottom at a depth between 5 and 8 meters. Make sure you never anchor on the Posidonia meadows, an endemic Mediterranean plant that we thank for the turquoise color and clarity of our waters.
